Anne Darwin, sentenced last week to six-and-a-half years for her role in covering up the scam, in which her husband feigned death in a canoeing accident, wrote: “I hope that one day you will find it in your heart to forgive me and dad.” But Mark and Anthony Darwin, speaking for the first time since their parents were jailed last week, told of their continued sense of betrayal after being allowed to live for six years believing that their father had gone missing at sea.
