Jailer under criminal investigation Arrested for 40 counts of alleged sexual abuse By BRAD DICKERSON Glasgow Daily Times Barren County Jailer Leland Cox, 58, relinquished his position on Friday pending the outcome of a criminal investigation. Detectives with the Drug Enforcement Special Investigation (DESI) West Branch of the Kentucky State Police arrested Cox on Friday for 40 counts of third-degree sexual abuse, a Class B Misdemeanor, according to the KSP. Each count carries a sentence of less than 90 days, with all to run concurrently, according to the Kentucky Penal Code. Cox was transported and lodged in the Warren County Jail on Friday.
