WASHINGTON (AP) - Senator Jack Reed says America can't afford the Republican strategy of writing blank checks to fight the war in Iraq. He says the U.S. economy is struggling while the government spends billions in Iraq. He's using the Democratic radio message to urge the U.S. to re-deploy combat troops out of Iraq and send the Iraqi government a message that it needs to do more.
