Business owner, manager helped convict bank robbers STRATHAM — Two Stratham businessmen were rewarded Thursday by the Federal Bureau of Investigation for their part in the apprehension of two bank robbers from Maine. Gary Hammond of Sanford, Maine, and Frank Cadieux of North Hampton provided descriptions and other information that led to the capture of bank robbers who hit branches throughout New Hampshire. Brothers Travis and Avery Blodgett were apprehended after a spree of 12 bank robberies between the two of them in a little over a year, during which they stole $85,967. Minutes before the robbers burst into the Ocean National Bank in Stratham on Jan. 11, 2006, shouting and brandishing handguns, they stopped in a parking lot a quarter-mile down the road to get ready for their heist.
