The couples will marry at Sun Moon Lake (Photo by Enid Yu/Flickr) Couples from China and Taiwan have been invited to apply for places at a joint mass wedding ceremony that will take place later this year. It is the latest initiative to improve relations across the Taiwan Strait. The organisers of the group wedding are looking for 39 couples to take part in the ceremony in one of Taiwan's best-known beauty spots, Sun Moon Lake. The Taiwanese couples will be taken to Beijing beforehand to visit some of China's main attractions.
