'White Giant' Perito Moreno glacier collapses earlier than expected

Part of a glacier known as the "White Giant" has collapsed dramatically for the first time in the southern hemisphere winter. Melting glaciers and shrinking forests revealed in UN Africa atlas The Perito Moreno glacier - an 18-mile long river of ice - is one of Argentina’s top tourist spectacles attracting thousands of visitors.
