Friends will not be hitting the big screen

Tuesday, July 8, 2008 Stars of the '90s hit comedy Friends have shot down rumours that a movie of the show is poised to be made, according to reports. During the past few days a big screen version of the sitcom has been much mooted within showbiz circles, but cast members Jennifer Aniston (Rachel), Matthew Perry (Chandler) and David Schwimmer (Ross) have all come out to put an end to the hopes of millions of fans. 'Nothing is happening in this regard' a spokesman for Matthew Perry told OK! Magazine. 'The rumour is false.' David Schwimmer's publicist followed a similar line, telling the magazine 'there's been no discussion about it.'
