POLICE are treating the death of a man in Brisbane's West End as murder. A 53-year-old man suffered major injuries in an altercation with an unknown number of offenders on the corner of Russell and Manning streets around 6pm (AEST) today and died at the scene. Police are asking for public assistance to find the offenders. "Anyone with information which could assist police with their investigations should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000," they said.
