05:12 PM PDT on Thursday, July 3, 2008 Abbey Gibb / KREM.com SPOKANE -- The teenager who accused a spokane city firefighter of rape, is now asking for $6 million in damages. This new lawsuit comes after the City rejected a $1 million claim for damages earlier this year. Firefighter Daniel Ross was fired after he and the woman, then 17, had sex while Ross was on duty. The City of Spokane filed another motion to dimiss the case last week. KREM 2 NEWS Former firefighter Daniel Ross sits in court during a hearing to determine the public release of an internal investigation done by the city. A judge is now looking it over. Scott Miller, the young woman's attorney, says he hopes the lawsuit leads to a settlement, instead of the case going to trial. Miller says that's because there's a lot of evidence on his side.
