Tallahassee.com reports that John Lovell, a 71-year-old former U.S. Marine, shot two armed robbers at a Subway store in Plantation, Florida. According to the police statement, "The victim believed he would be executed and when he noticed [the criminals] distracted ... reached behind his back, removed his loaded .45 caliber handgun from his holster and fired seven rounds," One suspect was killed and the other suffered critical injuries.
