KITS releases mobile Lotus SameTime extension

Knowledgeable & Innovative Technical Solutions Inc (dba KITS), a voice and data integration specialist, plans to release a plug-in for the IBM Lotus SameTime application that will extend IBM's Unified Communications tool set to Land Mobile Radios (LMR). The release, announced on 3 July and planned for late September, will allow SameTime customers with an LMR user base to extend their messaging coverage across the entire organisation. The J2EE based solution, along with other solutions planned by KITS, will allow any organisation with the traditional mix of disparate communications methods (radios, analog phones, IP phones, PDAs, PCs and other devices) to implement a system that will interoperate seamlessly.
