Peter Zajac, Director of IT Development

Peter is the IT Development Director of Newstin. He has been responsible for the design and architecture of the entire Newstin system engineering, as well as the development of the indexer and front end.

Peter has extensive experience from a number of demanding projects. Previously he worked for companies such DHL IS (Europe) and Logica,UK. His positions included Programmer/Analyst, e-Commerce Analyst and Team Leader.

Peter developed 3rd party logistics solution for HP EMEA in support to transport all supplier components to the computer manufacturing plants, and finished computers to retail customers. His team developed the application that planned logistic routes and optimized utilization of 3rd party transporters.

More detailed Peter worked on development and maintenance of a net-crypto layer, watchdog, log server and database engine for project application servers. Additionally, he participated in development of a generic client interface that enables users to write small client applications.

In Prague and Dublin he developed and maintained a component that enabled users to send and receive mobile phone text messages in PDC networks which are implemented solely in Japan.

Peter was also a team leader for CAD/CAM software for garment/textile industry in support of the entire process of garment design and production.

Peter graduated with a M.Sc. from the Department of Mathematics and Physics, Comenius University Bratislava, Slovak Republic. He is fluent in English, Czech and Slovak.
